Our Mission
Our mission at RGB is to guide people both on the autism spectrum and even those who are not to successful careers by emphasizing opportunity and marketable skills.
Our Vision
Our vision is to grow into one of the most reliable sources for career advice anywhere, to both types of people.
Also part of this vision is to help the American economy by investing in a large, untapped area of human capital.
A Further Explanation
It’s tough out there, and even tougher if you are “on the spectrum” of autism. Sure, you may have deep knowledge in lots of subjects, but your challenges are such that they make would-be employers hesitant to hire you.
According to Austismspeaks.org, an estimated 85 Percent of adults on the autism spectrum are either underemployed or unemployed. This must change.
At RBG*, we are here to be a part that change by helping guide people with those sorts of challenges (and even those without them) to develop skills that employers need so they can successfully sell themselves into a job that will launch their career.
For far too long, we’ve been told two very misleading things. One is to follow our passion. The other is, all you need for a successful career is to go to college. People who have told us that were wrong on both counts.
We are thus here to set things straight, and help you in so doing. Maybe college is right for you. If it is, we are here to offer the best advice at selecting a major that will help you develop marketable skills for a strong, lasting, and successful career.
But what if college is not for you? No problem: there are plenty of rewarding jobs out there that don’t require a college degree. We are here to explore those, too.
So, come, and let us learn and grow together!
*RGB is the abbreviated acronym “ROY G. BIV” (Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet), which describes the prismatic color spectrum. We chose these initials for the site name as a creative analogy to the Autism Spectrum.
